Sr. O365 Messaging Specialist

Operational requirements:

  • Execute day-to-day support activities ensuring service level agreements, project deliverables and customer commitments are being met
  • Provide management systems with updates on the status of incidents, changes and requests being executed
  • Monitor alerts and execute reporting of system health and capacity to ensure compliance with service level agreements and operational standards
  • Lead internal projects and coordinate activities with staff, outside departments and groups
  • Contribute to the development of implement tactical and strategic plans supporting the company’s messaging infrastructure
  • Identify areas for improving procedures, server configurations and system monitoring

Skills include:

  • Advanced Exchange 2010-16 on premise administration skills
  • Experience with O365 and migration strategies to O365
  • Experience with Microsoft Exchange Design/Build/Support
  • Experience merging email systems using scripts and 3rd party tools such as BitTitan’s “MigrationWiz” or Dell’s “On Demand Migrator”
  • Experience with AirWatch MDM
  • Experience with email archiving technologies
  • 7+ years’ experience of exchange administrative and operational support activities
  • Proficiency with network protocols and infrastructure concepts
  • Proficiency with high availability and disaster recovery technologies and methodologies (SCR/DAG)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Server Operating Systems (Windows 2000, 2003, 2008, 2012)
  • Strong knowledge of automation techniques and scripting languages such as PowerShell and VBScript
  • Knowledge of Active Directory and DNS technologies/methodologies
  • Knowledge of Windows Clustering/Failover Clustering
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting (problem determination/resolution) skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related work experience
  • MCP/MSCE certification preferred
